About the NIWO -> Organisation

The National en International Roadtranport Organisation (NIWO) is a public-law independent administrative body. The NIWO performs its tasks independently. The NIWO is accountable to the Minister of Infrastructure and Environment. This minister approves the annual account and the rates and appoints the director and the members of the advisory board. Main task of the NIWO is to grant licences to the Dutch transport sector. This way the NIWO has been contributing to the proper functioning of the market for national and international road transport.
